STEELY DAN SUMMER TOUR ANNOUNCED

First Show is July 23rd in Southern California

Steely Dan have announced the first leg of their summer tour in conjunction with the release of their new album Everything Must Go, coming out on Reprise Records on June 10th.

The first leg of the tour will begin July 23rd in Costa Mesa, California and will conclude August 31st in Syracuse, New York. [Addendum: Leg II dates subsequently added for September - October: see full schedule here]

The concerts mark the reemergence of the duo on stage; they last toured in the spring of 2000, the same year they collected four Grammys for their multi-platinum album Two Against Nature , including Album of the Year.

Everything Must Go is a stunning collection of songs from one of America's most critically acclaimed bands. The album continues the timeless and unique blend of jazz, rock, and rhythm and blues that define Steely Dan. Over the years the band's nine studio albums have contributed some of the most enduring songs in contemporary pop music.

On the upcoming tour, Steely Dan will be supported by a stellar backing band, including Ted Baker on piano, Steely Dan stalwart Jon Herington on guitar, Michael Leonhart on trumpet, Jim Pugh on trombone, and drummer Keith Carlock. Keith, who performed on Everything Must Go, is making his debut appearance on tour with the band. [Addendum: Tour pictures, information, and complete band member biographies can be found here ]
