  Steely Dan's
2015's ROCKABYE GOLLIE ANGEL Tour
Adds 8 Special Setlist Shows at New York City's Beacon Theatre

Tradition of Extended Hometown Residency Continues Oct 6 - 17

May 27, 2015 —The ROCKABYE GOLLIE ANGEL TOUR 2015 just spilled into autumn, thanks to an extended hometown stand at New York City's Beacon Theatre October 6 - October 17.

It's become something of a touring tradition for Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Walter Becker and Donald Fagen to bring Steely Dan to Manhattan's storied Beacon Theatre for several nights of Special Setlist Nights in New York City. The venerable tradition continues into 2015 with 8 nights of Classic Albums, Greatest Hits, and Popular Demand Sets, capped off by a finale night of Special Treats Oct 6 - 17.

Pre-sales for American Express® cardmembers begin May 28 at 10 a.m. EDT. General public tickets go on sale June 5 at 10 a.m. EDT at Ticketmaster. Three multi-show bundles offer substantial savings over single night purchases, and include the same seat across all of the shows in the bundle.

The Beacon stand extends a tour that began in April with a fortnight of west coast shows — including two mind-and-media-blowing shows at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Special Guest and fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elvis Costello ( & The Imposters) joins the bill for 23 U.S. dates running July 6 - August 12, making for a full evening of masterly musicianship and songwriting nonparei; truly, a music-lover's dream of a double bill.

Tickets for these summer shows are on sale now. See steelydan.com for the full touring schedule and ticketing information. All events will also be posted on Steely Dan's Facebook page.

Becker and Fagen's long-standing supporting ensemble has earned the reputation of perhaps the finest touring band on stage today. The Santa Barbara Independent concurs: "... one of the greatest recording groups of the late 20th century looks set to also be remembered as one of the best touring acts of the 21st."

Joining Fagen on vocals and keyboards, and Becker on guitar, eight individual virtuosos come together to animate selections from The Dan's extraordinary four-decade catalog, serving up the tight, irresistible grooves and the swinging, sleek aural richness of one of the most iconic repertoires in modern popular music. The Dan's inimitably sly, subversive lyrics over rich ensembles, blazing solo work, and soulful vocal harmonies; they all add up to sets "distinguished by ... muscularity, finesse and chopsmanship." (Toronto Globe & Mail) — and they also add up to still more audiences blown back in their seats — when they're not up dancing — by astonishing musical power and the psychosonic joy of hearing their favorites brought to life.

These superb supporting musicians are: Keith Carlock on drums, Freddie Washington on bass, Jim Beard on keyboards, Jon Herington on guitar, Michael Leonhart on trumpet, Jim Pugh on trombone, Roger Rosenberg on baritone saxophone, Walt Weiskopf on saxophone, with Paulette McWilliams, Carolyn Leonhart, and Cindy Mizelle offering up the sublime vocal harmonies emblematic of that utterly unique "Steely Dan sound". Band member bios and websites are here.

STEELY DAN has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and helped define the soundtrack of the '70s with hits such as Reelin' in the Years, Rikki Don't Lose That Number, F.M., Peg, Hey Nineteen, Deacon Blues, and Babylon Sisters, culled from their seven platinum albums issued between 1972 and 1980 (including 1977's ground breaking "Aja"). They reunited in the early '90s, launching a string of sold-out tours which continue to the present day. In 2000 they released multi-Grammy winner (including Album Of The Year) "Two Against Nature", and released its acclaimed follow-up "Everything Must Go" in 2003. They received The ASCAP Founder's Award in 2000 and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
